Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.  (I Peter 2:5)

All are welcome.

CHURCH SERVICES - Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

  • Our Sunday Church service begins at 10:00 a.m. and lasts about an hour.  The service is conducted by a First Reader and a Second Reader.  If you have never been to a Christian Science church, here is the order of the Sunday service:
  • First hymn
  • Scriptural Selection
  • Silent prayer, followed by the Lord's Prayer with its spiritual interpretation, which can be found on pages 16-17 in Science and Health.
  • Second hymn
  • Announcements about any upcoming church-related activities and events
  • Solo
  • Explanatory Note
  • Golden Text
  • Responsive Reading
  • Reading of the Bible Lesson-Sermon (this part of the service takes about half an hour)
  • Collection
  • Third hymn
  • Scientific Statement of Being (page 468 of Science and Health)
  • Correlative Scripture (I John 3:1-3)
  • Benediction
(Communion services, held on the second Sunday of January and July, have a slightly different order.)

Wednesday testimony meetings are being held at 6:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month.

  • First hymn
  • The First Reader reads passages he or she has selected from the Bible and from Science and Health on a specific topic of his choosing
  • Silent prayer and then the Lord's Prayer
  • Second hymn
  • Announcements about any upcoming church-related events and activities
  • At this point in the meeting, anyone in the congregation may stand and share any experience they've had in relying on prayer to solve a problem.  Sometimes people just share an idea that has inspired them - and sometimes they just talk about what they're especially grateful for.  But anyone is welcome to enjoy the readings, and then just listen to those sharing remarks and testimonies.
  • Third hymn
