SUNDAY SCHOOL
Our Sunday School is open to all young people up to the age of 20. Sunday School meets at 10:00 a.m. and lasts about an hour. In Sunday School, students learn about and discuss the infinite nature of God and the seven synonyms for God, as taught in Christian Science. (Mary Baker Eddy shed a bright light on God's nature by describing God as Principle, Mind, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth, and Love.) Sunday School students also learn Bible basics, such as the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, and the Lord's Prayer. They talk about various Bible characters and how their experiences can relate to the experiences our young people face today. And most especially, they learn about Christ Jesus -- his birth, life and works, death, resurrection, and ascension -- and they also talk about his parables and the healing effect his life had on others who turned to him for help.
Students are encouraged to ask questions and to dig deeply to find out how God's infinite goodness can be relied upon in meeting challenges in their own lives.
Young people (and all youthful thinkers) are encouraged to visit www.time4thinkers.com, a site which includes online discussions about Christian Science for young people. Visitors to the site can access articles, blogs, discussion forums, and podcasts.
